A Shanghai-produced remote heart monitoring device has supported the treatment of coronavirus patients in Wuhan, in central China's Hubei Province, the center of the coronavirus outbreak in China.
Developed by Shanghai Telecardio Medtech Co, based in Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, the remote electrocardiograph monitor can send data from coronavirus patients to doctors based in treatment centers in real time.
The system was used at makeshift hospitals in Wuhan to treat infected patients with mild symptoms.
As all of the 16 makeshift hospitals have been closed in Wuhan, the device will be promoted to serve more online medical services to reduce the risks of cross-infection, according to the company.
The Shanghai company has also taken part in the construction of a smart temporary hospital with Wuhan Hisee Technology Co.
